What was your favorite part of working with the Merri-Makers team?

The Merri-Makers team did an excellent job of creating a seamless and perfect wedding day! I was very nervous about the little things, like how the decor would be set up and if guests would know where to go, but it was definitely not needed as the team thought of everything even before I did. They asked a TON of questions to ensure everything was set up exactly the way I wanted and even provided helpers to stay with me during the entire wedding day which would hold my train as we walked around for photos and made sure I ate/drank water. After the ceremony the team led us back into the Bridal Suite which was filled with all the food and specialty drinks we chose so we could have time to be alone and ensure we ate before going out to the guests

What was your favorite food of the night? Which dish were guests raving about?

The guests absolutely loved all the cocktail hour foods. They especially liked the Tomahawk, Cacio e Pepe and Sushi stations. Chris and I personally loved the little lobster bisque shooters and the steak bites. A favorite entree during the dinner was the Chicken Lauren which had the best sauce. Our contract also provided a cake, which we opted into making a mix of red velvet and cannoli cupcakes. They turned out so cute and were delicious!

What was your favorite photo spot of the venue?

I love all the photos we took, the venue is so photogenic but my favorites were on the dock, flowered archway and by the barn chapel!

Was there a theme to your wedding? Tell us about your wedding colors and aesthetic!

Our wedding was wine/food themed. We had each guest sign a cork for the “guest book” which we are making into the top of our bar. We also gave away mini whisks with a heart in the middle, hot sauce and olive oil. Our seating chart was also wine bottles with the tables for labels on wine crates and we had empty wine bottles around with flowers.

How did you and your partner meet? Share your love story with us!

We met 7 years ago using the dating app “Ok Cupid” which is no longer around. I had the app for only a week and happened to meet Chris (although if you ask him we met spelunking). Our first date was 6 hours long because neither of us wanted to leave. We went on 3 dates and I actually told him we were better as friends. Fast forward to a month later when my parents were opening a restaurant at the beach and he reached out on the launch day wishing us luck even though we hadn’t spoked until I broke things off. His remembering this important moment meant a lot to me so we begun dating again and the rest is history.

What made you select this venue?

When Chris and I started dating I was living at LBI. The first 4 months of our relationship was him commuting to LBI to visit me. He asked me to be his girlfriend on a lifeguard tower at night in Surf City.
