What was your favorite part of working with the Merri-Makers team?
The Merri-Makers team was so great to work with and we can not thank everyone enough! The day was flawless and our guests could not stop raving about the venue, service etc. The day went so smoothly and every detail was accounted for. The food was amazing and the planning/coordinating process was so easy thanks to Laura! She is a joy to work with. We could not have chosen a better venue or catering team.
What was your favorite food of the night? Which dish were guests raving about?
Every single cocktail hour station and appetizer was AMAZING! From the sliders, crab cakes, lamb chops etc. Guests raved about all the food especially the sushi station- it was a hit. The gelato station was an amazing touch and the signature drinks were also made so perfectly.
What was your favorite photo spot of the venue?
Outside the front of the venue is hard to beat, we also had the most amazing blooming cherry blossom tree out back where we got amazing photos along with our guests. Overall, every photo spot is more stunning than the last.
Was there a theme to your wedding? Tell us about your wedding colors and aesthetic!
Our theme was a modern chic, timeless vibe. Mainly white, green and a touch of blue. Bridesmaids were in a larkspur blue and the flowers had touches of blue as well.
How did you and your partner meet? Share your love story with us!
We actually went to grade school and high school together so we have technically known each other since kindergarten. Our families have always been friends and we started out as great friends as well. After high school, our relationship took the next step and we have now been together for over 10 years.
What made you select this venue?
I had been to a wedding at the Ashford in 2018 and knew it was at the top of my list. The stunning ballroom and grounds definitely
