What was your favorite part of working with the Merri-Makers team?
The attention to detail was impressive at every turn. Literally nothing was overlooked or left to chance. By the day of the wedding, it was as if the entire night was choreographed down to the second. The best part was the attention of the bridal attendants – they made sure nothing got in the way of having the perfect day.
What was your favorite food of the night? Which dish were guests raving about?
The scallops during cocktail hour were the #1 most talked about food… a close second was the adorable chicken and waffle mini cones!
What was your favorite photo spot of the venue?
The grounds were SPECTACULAR and no spot won the coveted “best” – inside or out, we have amazing photos! Surprisingly, the more relaxed photos in the bridal suite blew us away!
Was there a theme to your wedding? Tell us about your wedding colors and aesthetic!
No specific theme… we wanted it to look simple, elegant and inspired by nature. The bridal party was told, “Wear any dress you want in any shade of green” and it hit the mark. The florist was told “simple greenery surrounding any kind of white flowers” and it all came together!
How did you and your partner meet? Share your love story with us!
Our mothers were college roommates, so our playdates as children were the backdrop we needed to connect later in life at Bar A in Belmar.
What made you select this venue?
The place is absolutely stunning – so who wouldn’t want a wedding there? But the game changer was the ability to rent out the entire estate for the night. Having our immediate families stay over was just as much fun as we thought it would be!

Yes- 10000%! We especially appreciated the tasting event weeks prior to the wedding! It gave us the ability to really enjoy the food and see what our options were.
