What was your favorite part of working with the Merri-Makers team?
The Merri Makers team is one of the best in the business! The entire team including Gianna, who is your built-in wedding coordinator, completely takes the stress off the couple allowing you to completely focus on enjoying the big day. They’re experts at handling the logistics—managing timelines, coordinating vendors, and solving problems as they arise—so that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. This allowed us to be fully present and immersed in the celebration, knowing everything is in good hands. Everyone was also a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond for us, our families and the guests!
What was your favorite food of the night? Which dish were guests raving about?
Our guests still rave about how amazing all of our food was at our wedding, from our cocktail hour to the reception and dessert. At the cocktail hour the slider station and Cacio e Pepe pasta station were a hit, but you cannot go wrong with any of their amazing options! The entrees were hot and delicious, and they are extremely flexible with menu options to completely fit what you envision. Their strolling desert option ensures that desert will not be missed by the guests and they provide a variety of tasty options to choose from! They also have a food tasting that allows you to experience first hand all of their different menu options prior to solidifying your menu options for the big day. Everything was amazing!
What was your favorite photo spot of the venue?
One of the main reasons we choose The Mallard Island Yacht Club is because of how beautiful the exterior and interior are for photos. The chapel, outdoor patio area and dock on the water are just a few of the amazing places to take photos. Not to mention the bridal suite which is absolutely to die for! Our wedding photos came out unbelievable, and our guests were so impressed with the beautiful interior and exterior as well. The beauty truly speaks for itself!
Was there a theme to your wedding? Tell us about your wedding colors and aesthetic!
We wanted to keep our wedding very minimalistic but elegant. We had white flowers with greenery which worked beautifully with The Mallard Island Yacht Clubs coastal elegance. I also choose gold champagne for my bridesmaid dress color which again tied perfectly with the beauty of The Mallard!
How did you and your partner meet? Share your love story with us!
We met through a mutual friend and hit it off immediately! Eight years later, we are happily married!
What made you select this venue?
There are so many reasons we ended up choosing The Mallard! They truly made our coastal wedding dreams come true with the bay offering a stunning natural backdrop that enhances the beauty and atmosphere of the entire celebration. It gave the perfect blend of elegance and tranquility, making it the ideal setting for both the ceremony and reception. The entire grounds are beautifully manicured and set up perfectly for wedding photos. We also loved the option to have ourselves and the bridal party stay in the hotel rooms that are offered at The Mallard making it an extremely stress free day without travel between various destinations. The after party was able to follow directly after the end of the reception on the grounds as well which was awesome to keep the party going! The Merri Makers team truly made us feel like we were in such good hands throughout the entire process making wedding planning seamless!

I would 100% recommend to other brides! Not only is it a stunning venue but has an absolutely amazing team that makes the entire wedding planning process amazing! It is truly a show stopper in so many ways, from the bridal suite, ceremony space and food just to name a few. I can’t say enough great things about the venue and the team and know that other brides will have just as amazing of a wedding day as I did at the Mallard!
