What was your favorite part of working with the Merri-Makers team?
From the food tastings to the day of, everyone was so helpful with planning our wedding day. They made everything so easy for us, and that is appreciated when there are so many things to take care of when planning a wedding!
What was your favorite food of the night? Which dish were guests raving about?
Everyone absolutely loved the scallops! That was one of the most popular appetizers that we loved along with our guests. We got nothing but compliments on all of the foods and starters, but we still have people telling us about those scallops!
What was your favorite photo spot of the venue?
Our chapel photos we took after the ceremony! Jeff (our photographer) took us out after our first course and we took some amazing shots with the candles behind us. The shots are beyond stunning! The driveway also made a beautiful backdrop with our bridal party.
Was there a theme to your wedding? Tell us about your wedding colors and aesthetic!
Overall theme was fall. We chose burgundy for the bridesmaids and dark gray for the groomsman to compliment one another. I absolutely love the fall, so I wanted the colors to match the autumn tones. We are also huge Phillies fans, so we added a bit of baseball love to our special day. We had custom Phillies jerseys with our wedding date on them, walked out to Chase Utley’s walk up song Kashmir by Led Zeppelin, and also created cocktail napkins with a heart baseball on them with our initials.
How did you and your partner meet? Share your love story with us!
One night in the winter of 2015, I met Dave on the University of Delaware turf at 2 am while enjoying the snow and building a snowman with friends. Since then, that night sparked an incredible friendship. From going on hikes, to catching a Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park, we enjoyed the great outdoors and each others company in many ways. The funny thing? We were both in relationships with other people.
Over the years we remained close friends. Fast forward to summer of 2019 and that’s where the adventure truly began! Almost every day was spent with each other. Between more Phillies games, bowling nights, happy hours, music festivals and weekend getaways, we were inseparable – doing anything and everything together. And that didn’t stop even when I was hobbling on crutches after my car accident. Dave made sure that I came along with him, even if it meant driving countless round trips from Northeast Philly to South Jersey so he could pick me up and get me home safely.
Jump to May 15, 2022. Dating for a little over 2 years, Dave planned to take me to the Moshulu (one of the world’s oldest and largest ships) for brunch. There, he brought me up to the bow of the ship to admire the views of Penn’s Landing, where I thought we were going to only take a photo before brunch. In scouting out the best view for our photo, I turned around in surprise to see him down on one knee asking me to marry him 🙂
What made you select this venue?
From the minute we pulled up to first look at the estate, we knew it was the place. Frank Sinatra was played through the speakers (my dad’s favorite singer), the grounds were absolutely stunning, and we felt very welcomed and heard as we toured all throughout the property. Laura was extremely helpful answering all of our questions. We felt like it was the perfect match for our special day!

Absolutely! I have never felt so pampered in my whole life. Everyone truly puts their heart and soul into making sure you have everything you can want/need on your special day. Olivia helped me out with my dress, carrying the train all over the property so it wouldn’t get dirty as we took pictures. If I needed anything someone was quick to retrieve whatever I needed or ensured anything would be taken care of with no worry at all. They truly go above and beyond to make sure you have no worry in your special day and make sure that everything is perfect! And it truly was
