What was your favorite part of working with the Merri-Makers team?

The Merri-Makers team was just perfect. Everyone we worked with I can’t say enough good things about. Their professionalism and eye for detail let me know I was in good hands from the start and it put me at ease especially when it was crunch time before the wedding. Gianna is my girl and helped every step of the way with planning. Everything felt calm and organized because Gianna was on top of it and let me know next steps and what to prepare for ahead of time. Thank you to this incredible team! It truly makes all the difference.

What was your favorite food of the night? Which dish were guests raving about?

We heard from countless people that our venue had the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Some of our guests admitted they couldn’t stop eating at the cocktail hour or had to be pulled away :0 We got so much love on the Tomahawk and Sushi station for cocktail hour. For dessert, we received several videos of our guests loving the “surprise” presentation at the Gelato station. Everything was so delicious, we hope we can be invited to a wedding at our venue just to eat everything again!

What was your favorite photo spot of the venue?

It’s impossible for us to pick just one favorite photo spot! The bayside view of the Mallard with the sunset was a chef’s kiss. Other amazing spots were the marina level with those gorgeous archways, that’s where we did our first look. The chapel had lighting that made EVERYONE look good. And of course the bridal suite, there is no place that can match that!

Was there a theme to your wedding? Tell us about your wedding colors and aesthetic!

Our wedding colors consisted of calm coastal colors such as light blues and greens, grey, white, and some champagne/gold to throw some flair in there! We wanted to achieve a chic, minimalist look to highlight the beauty of the venue and beautiful views of the bay!

How did you and your partner meet? Share your love story with us!

We went to high school together but were a year apart (the older one may surprise you because Brian is the one with the grey hair.) We were introduced by mutual friends at Isabel’s Senior Prom Weekend in 2012 and funny enough, all those friends attended our wedding! We dated briefly until Isabel went to college out of state but stayed in touch as friends. Isabel then worked for several years during her college breaks at a hotel Brian’s extended family owned so they frequently ran into each other. We eventually rebooted our relationship in March 2019 and have been together ever since!

What made you select this venue?

Isabel has been going to LBI since she was five and always wanted to get married in this special place. Once Isabel and Brian toured Mallard, they immediately knew it was the place for them and booked their wedding that same day.

I would definitely recommend Mallard to another bride. It was easy to feel like a princess that day with how amazing the staff was and the beauty of the venue. And I truly can’t stop thinking about the food. Seeing our guests have such a great time and enjoy everything from start to finish made our wedding experience complete!
