Love Letters

Mallard Island was truly our dream venue. Our coordinator Gianna made wedding planning feel easy and enjoyable. She answered all my questions (whether ridiculous or not!) and always made me feel special and important.

My bridal attendants Lauren and Dana were highlights of the day, making me feel like a princess.

Mallard is gorgeous from top to bottom, inside and outside, and Merri-Makers will make your dreams come true. Staying over after our wedding and after party was such a fantastic bonus and made our weekend so special. Heaven on earth!!!

We were blown away by the team at Mallard Island Yacht Club. We had to reschedule our wedding three times, which originally was taking place at another venue. With dates and timing not working in our favor, we switched our venue to Mallard Island with only 12 weeks to spare.

From the moment we walked into the venue, they went above and beyond to make us feel at ease and were there every step of the way to ensure all of the details were covered off on. We were lucky enough to work with Gianna, who is a DREAM, and handled everything with such professionalism and kindness, and made everything so easy. On the day of the wedding, we had Tiffany and Hannah as our bridal attendants and they could not have been nicer or more helpful. On top of the amazing team we worked with directly, we have received so many compliments about how delicious the food was and of course, the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous.

We would recommend Mallard Island Yacht Club a million times over and we cannot thank them enough for giving us the best wedding!

Dear Laura,

In my “former” life, not much ruffled me.  Having both of my children’s weddings, engagement parties and showers postponed due to Covid, definitely DID!  I don’t know if it’s my age, the fact that it’s my only daughter’s wedding, the years imagining it and months planning it then having to do it all twice. Had it not been for your constant professionalism throughout this ordeal, I don’t know what I would have done.  From the moment I called you last April to ask, “what happens if we have to cancel the date” to answering yet another deluge of questions from me, your calmness, wealth of information, advice, guidance and patience remained steadfast throughout.  I can’t imagine how difficult the year must have been for you.  Yet, you never displayed anything but kindness and confidence that all would be well in the end.

You pick a place like Ashford Estate hoping, but never truly expecting, to get this kind of service.  From the moment we met with you in September of 2019 (!!), you have been the absolute best to work with.  Ashford Estate is “you”.  They are lucky to have you and so were we.

Thank you and the entire staff of Bonnet Island for everything you did to make sure Liz and Len had a perfect wedding day. If it didn’t go perfectly, then I have no idea because everyone took care of it, and we had the best day ever. There’s no way the day would have gone as well without the continuous help for the staff. Thank you so much for your support throughout the wedding process from the first time we visited and selected the venue to the ceremony last night. I cannot wait for the photos so I can continue to share our day with friends that did not make it.

Hannah & Tiffany–

I truly do not even know where to begin as I would have been lost on my wedding day without you both!!  You were so kind, patient, and helpful from the very beginning and I cannot thank you enough for being my sense of calm on a hectic day.

We truly had the best wedding ever and could not be happier, but it would not have been that way without you two (and Gianna, but she knows how much we are already obsessed with her!!). You were always there with genuine smiles on your faces and were so attentive and willing to help with anything.  Even carrying the train on my wedding dress while I complained to you about the non stop wind. 🙂

Thank you SO SO much for being there for us on our wedding day, it would not have been the same without you both and we appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. I am jealous of the future brides that get to work with you as anyone would be lucky to have you.  I wish you both the best of luck in the future and hope our paths cross again at some point!

Dear Andrea, Ellie, Bridal Attendants and all staff associated with Bonnet Island,

There is no proper way to convey our gratitude for the wedding held at your venue Saturday April 17th.  Our guests had only wonderful and complimentary words for the venue, staff, food , decorations, music, accommodations and floral arrangements.

You are surely experienced professionals and take much pride in your work.  We appreciate your friendliness, guidance and willingness to make a special occasion personally spectacular.  Our guests will long remember the long-awaited celebration of our daughter’s marriage.  Bonnet Island personnel made our day memorable in every way.

People are always so quick to complain when things go wrong and sometimes forget to say words about what was so right.

YOU and every single person who we dealt with from every aspect of that day were amazing!!!!!  We had people telling us yesterday how great the staff was and how courteous and friendly.  We of course noticed it but to have people tell you also is such a plus!  We dealt with so many that day and I have to say from the bridal suite staff all the way down to the overnight person and a cleaning woman we saw, everyone the same.  They would bend over backwards for you and genuinely personable.  You have a tight run ship there and it shows by what an amazing event we had.

You helped us out so much from the beginning of our journey at Mallard, which wasn’t to long ago, to the very end.  Not only are you a true professional, but a personable person and you can so tell that you love what your doing and want the best for people.  Sometimes it probably can be a pain in the a—- but you handle it like a true pro.  It truly is amazing what goes on before the actual wedding those last 2 days especially.  The day of was the best experience because as parents you are so nervous and we have to say YOU and everyone were amazing.  So nice to relax and enjoy the big day without worrying about anything.  A memory of a lifetime (in more ways then one lol I will forward the video over to you of Mitch’s announcement at the very end of his speech).
Shayna had the wedding of her dreams.  As you know she was there as a little girl with her Pop Pop who worked for Chris and fell in love with Mallard.

Again, we can’t thank you enough.  You are a hard, dedicated worker and also a nice person.  Best of Luck to you in the future.
