Thank you so very much for all your kind and patient assistance in planning the most perfect wedding for Amanda and Matthew.  It totally exceeded our expectations!

From the moment we arrived at the estate on November 20th, we were taken care of in the most gracious manner.   The ceremony at the barn was magical!  The cocktail hour was one that our guests will remember and talk about for years to come.  Some actually thought that the cocktail hour was the main meal.  The food was so flavorful and the creative presentation was pure perfection!

The ballroom and the tables were set up beautifully.  With the addition of the lighting and Michelle’s amazing floral masterpieces and candles, the room was so incredibly elegant.  Again, truly exceeding our expectations, and I am such a perfectionist!

Dinner was plated beautifully and absolutely delicious.  Many compliments,  especially the potatoes.  Yum!  Everyone loved the desserts!!

All of the staff, from Amanda’s bridal assistants, to Justin and Meghan, to the waitstaff and beyond, everyone was superb.

Neptune went above and beyond by accommodating us with specific wine and liquor requests and with the large amount of guests, no one seemed to wait very long to be served.

A wedding to be cherished forever!💕

Merri-Makers catered our wedding at Mallard Island and the food was amazing.

The tasting day that they have prior to choosing the menu was so fun and the accommodated some special requests that we had. Cocktail hour had SO much food, dinner was amazing, and desserts were so plentiful for those that still had room!

No guest will leave hungry!

Were do we even begin?  We fell in love with Bonnet the second we pulled up for our appointment.  It gave us that beachy feel we were looking for.  From then on every conversation/interaction we had with you guys was so pleasant.  Andrea was such an amazing planner and helped us deal with the stress of a global pandemic.  It was handled with such ease, she made us feel so comfortable with our decision to postpone, and it ended up being the best decision.

Our wedding was one of the first of the season and all regulations were lifted, finally we were in luck!  The day of our wedding was an absolute dream.  Although it went by fast, it literally was the best day of our lives.  From start to finish, it was perfect.  All of our friends and family have been talking about our day non stop.  The food was amazing, that you Merri-Makers.  The staff and service killed it.  So amazing that Bonnet was literally our house for the night.

We appreciate everything you did for us.  Especially keeping us calm even though there was literally a monsoon outside – haha.

When we first booked our venue (a Weddings of Distinction property), we were a little nervous that they had a caterer we HAD to use — what if we weren’t impressed with the food? Well, we should never have worried! We were floored by the variety, quality, and quantity (!!) of food that our guests were treated to on our big day.

We got our first taste of how lucky we were at our tasting, where we sampled a little bit of everything and were able to make little adjustments, like mixing and matching the various meats and sauces, to customize the menu to our exact taste.

As for the big day, it exceeded all of our already high expectations. Starting with cocktail hour, the spread was truly eye-popping — there was something for everyone, and each hors d’oeuvre and station-based dish was as beautiful as it was tasty. The Chinese food station, the mini tacos, and the grilled cheese/tomato bisque shooters were the biggest hits — we had guests cornering the staff to chase down seconds of their favorite dishes.

The entrees, though, are what really differentiates Merri-Makers from the competition — they were by far the best wedding mains we’ve ever had. People loved the fish, the filet mignon, and even the chicken and the vegetable napoleon. They accommodated every dietary restriction, even the more unusual ones. Dessert was the cherry on top. It was such a treat to have passed sweets in addition to our wedding cake. A little something for everyone!

Really, I’m so impressed. So much better than the other wedding food we’ve enjoyed. We never thought people would walk away from our special day still raving about the food, but here we are!!!

WOW. This was the most perfect day imaginable.

You will be treated like kings and queens for the entire day. The staff was amazing – from planning (and answering my thousands of emails) to the most perfect day, where your every wish comes true.

The venue is gorgeous with so many different locations to take photos (pier, chapel, beach, rooftop…).

The day was everything we wished for- I wouldn’t change a thing.

It is with tears, laughter and warm thoughts we are remembering Loredana’s and Jonathan’s wedding day. The day is a wonderful memory that we will hold dear for the rest of our lives.

We are so grateful to you for making the day so special for us. We all remember a day at least eighteen months ago when we asked you if we needed a wedding planner and you said “No you have me.” We had no idea what that really meant at the time.

You and your staff made us feel like we had nothing to worry about; we could relax and enjoy the day, which we did.

Please know that your care has added to Loredana’s and Johanthan’s happiness as they start their marriage; and to Susan and Bill’s desire to have Loredana’s day as an expression of their love for her.

We just had our wedding on 11/11/21 at the Ashford Estate and the ENTIRE staff really goes above and beyond for their guests. Laura is amazing and was so easy to get in touch with the entire year leading up to the wedding, always available to answer any and every question I had about literally everything, and was super prompt with her responses.

We rented out the estate and had our bridal party stay in the overnight suites and we couldn’t have made a better decision. The suites were beautiful and everyone working at the venue was so accommodating.

The bridal attendants during the day were so helpful, always making sure we were comfortable and didn’t need anything, coming in clutch during the reception by finding me some Tylenol when my back started hurting from standing all day and dancing so hard.

We kept getting so many compliments from our guests about the staff just being so so kind, conscientious, and diligent. So, not only is this venue absolutely STUNNING (that goes without saying), but truly the staff is what sets this place apart. 5 stars all around!!

Merri-Makers catered our wedding in September of 2021. We were not able to do a tasting before our event, which we were a bit nervous about, but we were absolutely blown away by the food – it was INCREDIBLE. Most of our guests commented on how good the food was. Even the cocktail hour was amazing – we were tied up with photos but we had a plate with a sample of everything on a plate waiting for us so we wouldn’t miss out on the amazing food.

Our coordinator and maître d the night of our wedding was Patty – we were SO lucky to have her. She had excellent communication leading up the wedding and made sure everything was exactly the way we imagined it. I don’t even know how she kept everything running so smoothly but we did not have to worry about a single thing that night – she was on top of everything and made sure we were truly able to enjoy the evening. Thank you so much Patty, you are incredible!!

The entire staff of Merri-Makers that we worked with were extremely friendly and professional. If you are considering Merri-Makers for catering your event, we highly recommend them! Not only do they help with the table/chair rentals, linens and basic decoration setup, but the food and staff are top notch.

I just wanted to let you know how wonderful everything was for Erin & Tommy’s wedding! The entire staff made this event as seamless as possible. Obviously Bonnet Island is a gorgeous venue but more importantly ALL of the food was exceptional! Everyone who attended kept raving about everything!

We were extremely happy with every aspect of the event from start to finish. I will highly recommend Bonnet Island Estate as will everyone who attended! It’s such an important day and to have it taken care of by such efficient people makes it extremely special!!

Hi Laura,

This email is about a week overdue, and I don’t want to let another day go by without telling you how wonderful everything went for Brooke and Nick’s wedding day, last Sunday, the 3rd.

The weather that day was spectacular.  The entire staff and everyone at the Ashford was accommodating and wonderful. The food was superb!!

It’s been over a week now and our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful and special they felt celebrating at The Ashford.
