Where to begin?!

Laura, I sincerely want to thank you and all of the staff at Ashford, Merry Makers Caterers, and Patty and her staff from Neptune Liquors for making Alexa and Nate’s wedding a truly fairy-tale experience. The professionalism and flawless service were absolutely impeccable. 

Alexa’s attendants were attentive to her every need, and Megan did an outstanding job coordinating the early part of the evening.  Patty truly came to the rescue by making beautiful cocktail signs for our signature drinks. It was such a kind example of someone going above and beyond for us.

The food was both delicious and abundant, with beautifully presented displays. I was thrilled by all the positive feedback we received about the main entrées—so many guests shared rave reviews about the meal. Some of the cocktail hour favorites were the tomahawk steak, lobster shooters, and suckling pig! As someone who loves to cook and can be quite critical when dining out, I can honestly say Merri- Makers far exceeded my expectations!

The entire evening ran like a well-oiled machine. Of course, the stunning aesthetics of the Ashford property and the beautifully decorated rooms only added to the magic of the day.

A heartfelt thank-you to your entire team—and especially to you—for making this process effortless from start to finish. Your warm demeanour and prompt responses to every question helped ease so much of the stress along the way.

We just wanted to take a moment to thank you and the entire Mallard Island Yacht Club team for making our wedding day absolutely incredible! From the very beginning, you all went above and beyond to make everything perfect. From the first time we visited the venue, we knew it was special, but experiencing it on our wedding day exceeded every expectation we had.

Every aspect of the venue—from the stunning waterfront views to the beautifully arranged spaces—was flawless. The attention to detail in every corner made the atmosphere so magical and set the stage for memories we’ll cherish forever. Jillian, Kayla, and Christy made the day so special. They anticipated every need, offered support with a smile, and made us feel calm, cared for, and celebrated throughout the day. Their kindness and professionalism did not go unnoticed by us or our guests. So many people shared how impressed they were with the team and how seamless everything felt from start to finish.

Thanks to all of you, our wedding was not just beautiful—it was unforgettable. From the moment we arrived until the very last dance, every detail was executed with such care and perfection. We cannot recommend Mallard Island Yacht Club enough, and we will forever look back on our wedding with joy and gratitude for everything you did to make it so magical.

Hi Laura:

I know I said thank you probably a million times, but I wanted to write to you to tell you how incredibly fantastic our day was from the moment I arrived to the moment I sadly had to leave my second home.

The food, the staff, the estate….I don’t know how to say thank you for such an incredible perfect (and I mean perfect) wedding.  I have never seen Alexa so happy.

What you do seems so seamless to everyone as it just keeps moving, but I watched your team and it takes huge effort and coordination to do what you all do so perfectly.

I will be writing reviews everywhere to tell them how wonderful and perfect our wedding was.  I cannot think of anything at all that wasn’t just great.

Please give my thanks to Megan and the rest of the wedding coordination team.  They are the best!

I wish you and your family a happy healthy and blessed year and I hope one day we see each other again.  I think I miss you already.

Dear Laura,

I wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for you and all The Ashford and Merri-Makers staff.

Rachel and Jonathan’s wedding was all we dreamed of, and then some! The estate is magnificent but the people working there brought the experience to an even greater level. Everything was perfect, and that is not something I say very often. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The food was delicious.  Our guests came up to me all throughout the night with the highest praise for the estate and staff. Many noted it was the best wedding they had ever attended!

We were initially drawn to Bonnet Island because of the picturesque views, Jersey Shore atmosphere and accommodations.  But what truly sold us was the Merri-Makers ownership.  Everywhere we went, when we mentioned we were getting married at Bonnet, people would remark on the food being the best they’ve ever had!  We can confirm, from cocktail hour through dessert, Merri-Makers is second to none.

You get total personalization of your menu and the team will guide you on what’s been successful from their experience.  Both Andrea and Gianna were incredible event coordinators, agreeing to meet with us whenever we visited the venue.  The day of staff was respectful, attentive and professional to us, our party, our families and all the guests.  We never didn’t have a drink in our hand! We got to sample every piece of food.

After staying overnight, every item displayed was neatly packed, labeled and separated based on who had what.  The process was seamless and stress free.  We never had to worry about a thing!

Merri-Makers is regarded as on the top choices in the wedding industry and it’s easy to see why.  Thank you for making our day so memorable.

I can’t thank you and the other staff members enough for all of the attention to the details . The team made my daughter’s wedding day exactly as she envisioned it.

I am not a wealthy man but wanted to create an environment that was worthy of such a once in a lifetime event. Seeing how happy Carly was, was worth every penny.

The invited guest were amazed at the quality of plentiful food. Your efforts to meet dietary restrictions was much appreciated.
