After the Wedding

People always told you the day would fly by and they were right! The wedding is over and it was the most amazing day you had ever imagined. Now it’s time to sit back and relax and not have to worry about colors and layouts and budgets, right? Think again. Here are a few “after the wedding” items you may want to add to your budget and timeline from the start.

Changing your name. There is a fee to change your name on some of your documents and prior to changing your name you will need to purchase your Marriage Certificate. Some name changes require an original certificate -so be sure to plan for purchasing more than just one.

Dress or Flower preservation. Not sure what to do with your dress after the wedding? You may want to have it cleaned and preserved in order to pass along to your daughter one day. Or get your bouquet dried out and preserved.

Thank You Cards and Postage. You may want to order cards online or create your own- either way it will take time to write something personal to each guest, label and deliver!

Pictures! Not all Wedding Packages include printing of your photos even if you have the rights to them. Sure you can look at them online in your digital album, but isn’t the point of a photographer to capture the special day so that you can have an actual print on your wall to look at?!

Completing your Gift Registry. Chances are not all items on your registry will be fulfilled. Most stores will offer the Bride and Groom a discounted price for the remaining items on your registry for a few months after the big day.
