What was your favorite part of working with the Merri-Makers team?
We enjoyed every second of planning our big day at Mallard. From the moment we met Gianna, we knew Mallard was our venue and she was our girl! Gianna made the planing process one of the most enjoyable times for us, we loved getting to know our recommended vendors and Gianna picked up quickly our vibe and kept us true to what we were looking for. We planned our big day in just 8 months, and not once did I feel overwhelmed or that we did not have enough time to make it all happen. I had the opposite feeling, everything fell into place and in order without any fuss or stress… I often asked myself am I missing something? No… Gianna had it covered! I would do it all over again and again to get to work with this staff. We still get compliments at how attentive, kind and fun the staff was at our wedding. They joined in our joy and you could see the fun and happiness that everyone shared with us.
What was your favorite food of the night? Which dish were guests raving about?
EVERYTHING… people have not stopped raving about the food. Every dish throughout the night, was crafted perfectly and presented with such love. “Best food I have ever had at a wedding, period.” Our guest LOVED the Oyster bar and many complimented learning about the local farmed oysters, the tomahawk carving station was of course a hit and the lobster rolls kept the the shore vibe alive. Being able to customize the food was one our favorite part. As the bride, I am a pescatarian and my husband is a meat lover, we were able to find the sweet spot and made sure there was a dish for everyone… The desserts were so perfectly presented and allowed everyone to still be on the dance floor including the bride who had used her ice cream sandwich as a microphone!!
What was your favorite photo spot of the venue?
What I love most about Mallard is there is not one single spot that isn’t absolutely gorgeous. The ground are breath taking and allowed for every picture to have the most gorgeous back drop. We fell in love with the chapel. I love all my photos and truly can’t pick just one spot, as they are all my favorite. We were blessed with the most beautiful summer day, that had a fall crisp to the air. I/ will forever feel grateful for the day we had and the beautiful setting we were able to get married in. It was a dream and Mallard will forever be the most beautiful place on earth to us!
Was there a theme to your wedding? Tell us about your wedding colors and aesthetic!
I would say that we didn’t have a true theme but kept true to the summer time down the shore. The shore is a very important place to us, it is where we first fell in love and all of our biggest moments have happened, getting engaged and now married! We wanted to keep the day and vibe very much us, we ended the night in our vans and I think everyone could tell that we loved the Jersey Shore and are happy to have all our loved ones share in our joy in our happy place!!
How did you and your partner meet? Share your love story with us!
We met casually one night through a mutual friend at a bar. I even texted my girl friends and told them…. “Guys I think I met the man of my dreams tn” We certainly bring the best out of one another and we are forever grateful to have found this love in this lifetime, one that comes easy and brings lots of laughs and smiles.
What made you select this venue?
The second we walked into Mallard we knew, it gave us the destination feel in our favorite place, the Jersey Shore. I always wanted to do a destination wedding because we love the beach and summer, while my husband wanted to stay local so all of our family and friends could be there. Mallard is exactly that, we had the destination feel in our favorite place. Mallards grounds are truly so breathtaking, every turn is even more beautiful than the last.
And cannot forget to mention that Gianna, is the real MVP of Mallard. She is the most epic and has the best spirit and soul. We adore Gianna and will miss her the most out of our wedding at Mallard.

I would put all must trust in Merri-Makers, they know how to execute and did not miss a beat. The food at our wedding was beyond amazing, and we wish we could do it all over again. Everything we ate was better than we could have imagined. We loved every dish and every passed item we had at our wedding. Our family and friends will never stip raving about the food at our wedding, and we can’t thank Merri-Makers for exceeding our expectations.
